The Vicar
Rev Chris Rattenberry was licensed as Parish Priest of St Peter's, Ravenshead, at a special service in the parish church on Sunday 15th January 2006. Though Mr Rattenberry will be technically the Priest-in-Charge for the first few years of his incumbency, he is generally known as Vicar.Before coming to Ravenshead, for seven and a half years Mr Rattenberry was Priest in Charge and then Vicar at St Paul's, Daybrook, Nottingham, and for six and a half years Area Dean of Nottingham North. Before that he was a Curate at St James, Porchester. He is 50 years old and he and his wife Heather have two sons, James and Joseph.
The curate
Rev Zoe Burton was ordained deacon, the first rank of C of E clergy, and licensed to St Peter's by the Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham on July 4th 2010. She is married to Nigel and their teenage children are Jack and Nicky. Mrs Burton works in Ravenshead on Sunday and two weekdays.Lay Reader
Keith Unwin has been a member of St Peter's for nine years, five of these as a lay reader. He says: "I am married to Sarah and have three children hence the grey hair (or what's left of it!). I hail from the East End of London and have been an ardent Arsenal fan all my life. I love outdoor life and I strongly believe in non-religious Christianity."Youth Worker
Nikki Logan came to St Peter's during September 2008 to work in mission and evangelism with young people and the wider community. Her work will encompass our existing children's and youth work but also new initiatives, eg with the local schools. She spends 20 hours a week with us and ten hours a week with ICIS (In Christ in Schools) in Mansfield. The intention is that Nikki will be with us for two years. She is studying for a Foundation Degree with Chester University.Trainee lay reader
A recent and welcome newcomer to St Peter's is Marcel Leaver, who lives in Arnold, is married to Steven and has three children, Christopher, William, and Lucy, aged 20, 17 and 15. Marcel has been recommended for training as a Lay Reader. This starts in September 2009 and hopefully she will be licensed to St Peter's during 2010.There have been a total of 9018 visits since 31/10/06
