Youth Groups
St Peter's has two youth groups that meet regularly. The GAP group (representing God And People), which serves the secondary school age range, meets on Thursday evenings. Powerpack, previously known as Sunday School, covers the 4-11 year age group and meet during part of the 11 am services on Sundays. There is a rota of dedicated parents who run both groups and try to offer a variety of activities, including occasional outings and evening social events for the older children. Both groups take part in the St Peter's nativity musicals. Their programmes include swimming parties, family picnics, and camping weekends.
On Sunday mornings PowerPack begin in the Morning Worship service at 11 am, then go to the Church Hall for their various bible-based activities. Once a month the young people attend the whole of the Family Communion, many to receive bread and wine. In May 2002 nearly 20 children chose to be admitted to Holy Communion, eight more in September 2006, and a further eight followed in their footsteps in May 2008.

Men's Group
St Peter's Men's Group was formed in 1991. Members include men with professional, managerial and supervisory experience, and others from a variety of walks of life. Collectively the group provides a wealth of experience and ideas. It meets once a month - on the third Thursday at 2.00 pm - either to hear a speaker or to enjoy a stimulating discussion. The aims of the group are to keep in close touch with the Church, to provide intellectual interest for men who no longer have the stimulation of the workplace, to experience a variety of presentations and events and to develop companionship. For more information contact Peter Rose, tel 793523 or peter@doveridge.plus.com
Women's Fellowship
St Peter's Women's Fellowship meet on the first Thursday of each month in the Church Lounge at 7.30 pm. Social
The church is an ideal venue for musical performances, when the building is usually filled and funds are raised for various local community organisations, including St Peter's. Concerts by Bestwood Black Diamonds brass band and St Peter's Gilbert & Sullivan Society are among the notable successes in the past and this pattern is continuing this year. At the end of March 2010 we have the Easter musical Jerusalem Joy.For details of forthcoming events, see Notice Board; for reports on recent events see Newspage.
